Overview

As an assessment moves through the Fire Risk Assessment process, it progresses through a number of statuses. These statuses provide visibility of where the assessment currently sits within the workflow.

Understanding these statuses helps Assessors, Validators and Administrators quickly identify what stage an assessment has reached and whether any further action is required.

Allocated

An assessment has been assigned to an assessor but has not yet been dispatched to the Assessment Recorder application.

What this means:

  • The assessment has been created and assigned.
  • The assessor is responsible for completing the assessment.
  • Assessment work has not yet started.

Dispatched

The assessment has been sent to the Assessment Recorder application and is ready for the assessor to begin work.

What this means:

  • The assessment is available on the assessor's device.
  • Work can begin in the field.
  • No assessment data has yet been returned.

In Progress

Work has started on the assessment within the Assessment Recorder application.

What this means:

  • The assessor has begun completing the assessment.
  • Information is actively being gathered.
  • The assessment has not yet been submitted.

Completed on Device

The assessor has completed the assessment on the device.

What this means:

  • Assessment work has been completed by the assessor.
  • The assessment is awaiting transfer back into the wider workflow.
  • Additional processing may still be required.

Returned to System

The completed assessment has been returned from the Assessment Recorder application and has been written into the system.

What this means:

  • Assessment data has been successfully received.
  • The assessment can continue through the processing workflow.
  • Validation activities may follow depending on the workflow being used.
  • Assessment information is available within the Portal.
  • Users can access the assessment for further review and processing.
  • Validation activities may be performed where required.

Validated

The assessment has been reviewed and validated.

What this means:

  • Validation work has been completed.
  • The assessment has passed the validation stage.
  • The assessment is progressing toward final release.

Released

The assessment has been released.

What this means:

  • Processing and validation activities have been completed.
  • The assessment has reached the end of the standard workflow.
  • It is now visible for Standard users.

Revoked

The assessment has been withdrawn from the assessor.

What this means:

  • The assessment has been withdrawn from the standard workflow.
  • Further action may be required depending on the reason for the revocation.
  • Caters for situations where an assessor has been assigned work, but there's some unforeseen reason they are no longer able to undertake and it's necessary to get it off their device, e.g. illness.

Viewing Status Progression

The status of an assessment can be viewed throughout Assessor Desk, including:

  • Workload
  • All Assessments
  • Validation areas
  • Assessment Detail pages
  • Assessment Timeline views

Statuses provide a quick indication of where an assessment currently sits in the workflow and help users determine whether any action is required.
